Kindness Towards Those Seeking Refuge
As one of the main centres for welcoming people seeking refuge, Berlin partners with local organisations, including Volkssolidarität, which provides short- and long-term accommodation for families seeking refuge in the city. At various times throughout the year, we support community activities at local shelters and kindergartens, celebrating with familiesand bringing gifts for the children in these homes.
Community Clean-ups
Throughout the year, we organise community clean-up days with the generous support of volunteers and the Berliner Stadtreinigungsbetriebe (BSR). This helps support the city of Berlin by promoting civic responsibility for its streets and parks. The main initiative takes place on New Year’s Day, when the streets are often littered with remnants of firecrackers.
Strategic Partnerships
Supporting innovative and caring organisations that endeavour to find solutions for social and ecological challenges.
Compassion Child Sponsorship
The work of compassion supports the well-being and development of vulnerable children worldwide. Child sponsorship enables children to flourish in a community of care, education and support.
A21 walk for Freedom
‘Walk For Freedom’ is a day dedicated to raising awareness of human trafficking. Together with A21, we actively work to end human trafficking. We have hosted the annual ‘Walk for Freedom’ since it started in 2014
Charity Water: Sustainable clean water projects
Each year, we aim to support a clean water project in collaboration with ‘Charity: Water’. This initiative involves friends, family, and colleagues who serve as sponsors to charitable sporting events, including running and football competitions. Over the past 14 years, these events have raised €150,000, enabling water projects to be established in various countries.
